Latest info regarding Sun Java . . . . . 2009

Sun Java is much superior to MS VJM, ~~ if it doesn't work for you, it is because the scripter didn't compose the
Java applet properly. When Roger and I were testing the Sun Java we found out that you could not have a character
such as ! (Exclamation mark used to keep file at top of list) or any other characters in filename used for applet. It could be
seen using MS VJM, as it is more forgiving. However, MS VJM is outdated, and will eventually be phased out.

I use Sun Java exclusively, and can see all properly scripted Java applets. Here is an example where you can view .png
bubbles moving up if you are using Sun Java, but will not see them if you are using MS VJM.

One advantage of using .png transparent graphics is that they can be created in the very popular Paint Shop Pro graphic
program with no problem saving them as you would save them the same way you would a .jpg file without exporting them.

I used to keep MS VJM info and files on my website. However, with MVP, Mark Soloways complete MS VJM website, http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/java.php it is so explanatory, I would recommend it for
anyone interested in learning how to install or uninstall the MS VJM . . . If you are using XP, to check if you have
the MS VJM, go to RUN,  type  wjview, and click OK

At 85, I am gradually getting away from computers, and have closed down one website, but still have
http://unclegus.150m.com/ up which includes, Janim, Media, and our photo album with over 1500 birds.

Hope this information sheds a bit of light on Sun Java, which I 100% recommend you use.

I have also used Firefox, but prefer IE.

I personally, am using the latest Sun Java 6.11 (January 2009)
